SASANIAN EMPIRE, Khusro II. Drachma. (Ar. 3.75g/30mm).
Year 37 PYE/626-7 AD WYHC (Uncertain location, possibly in Fars or Central Iraq).

Obverse: Crowned and draped bust of Khusro II to the right, legend in Pahlavi around: to the right, ABZUD (Growth) and to the left, GDH (Splendor), all within a double circular border. On the outside, at 3h, 6h and 9h, crescent and star.
Reverse: Fire altar flanked by two priests, to the right mint mark: WYHC, to the left year of minting: 37 (Post Yazgard Era) within 3 borders, on the outside, at 12h, 3h, 6h and 9h crescent moon and star.
Condition: MBC+. Slight oxidation on the reverse. Attractive specimen. Large drachm: 30 mm.
