Kings of Parthia – Vologases I (51-78 AD)
Silver drachm (3.96 g, 20 mm). Mint of Ecbatana.
He tried to consolidate Parthian power in Armenia by confronting Rome.
Obverse: Diademed bust looking to the left, short and pointed beard, wart on the forehead, visible earring, hair arranged in five waves.
Reverse: Arsaces I seated to the right on a throne, holding a bow; monogram below the bow.
